My concern is feeling overwhelmed with no support system in an unfamiliar place. How have you managed with your three? What type of support system do you find on base? Are their daycares on base and what's the pricing generally for them?Meagan M.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3291872927569413681.post-50905947379468791172011-10-26T20:01:57.050-07:002011-10-26T20:01:57.050-07:00We recently interviewed for JAG and some of the JA...We recently interviewed for JAG and some of the JAG's at this base told us that 5 of the 6 got in on their 2nd and 3rd try. Is that usual? Should we expect to have to apply a few times?Iverson Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14029523491593617946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3291872927569413681.post-58786582453618793862011-10-20T15:01:50.864-07:002011-10-20T15:01:50.864-07:00This blog is a life saver. My husband is entering the air force JAG reserve and is just awaiting the 1st training after being commissioned last week (Finally! yay!) and I'm extremely nervous (even though he is only reserves). Do you know how it works for reserves? We are sure that at some point we will have to go active to be able to stay in for the full 20 years for pension etc. but I am not sure how it all works with him being a reserve. Thanks for writing this, it helps make it easier to anticipate what is to come :) (especially with how long these first trainings are!)Amy D.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3291872927569413681.post-57168928338674503822011-10-03T09:36:23.246-07:002011-10-03T09:36:23.246-07:00I just realized that you already went to your seco...I just realized that you already went to your second assignment and it's only been two years. Is that common these days? I know they've said and told us that our assignment length would be 2-3 years. Were you able to shorten your assignment?Lauren Jamisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07333198466564714190noreply@blogger.com
