Before my husband joined the Air Force as a JAG I tried to find information on what 'life as a JAG wife' would consist of. I had a hard time finding any helpful information so once we began this journey I started this blog to answer questions of prospectus JAG wives. I also hope to use this as a safe place to express my joys, heartaches, annoyances, and experiences as my life of a JAG wife unfolds
Congratulations on the upcoming move! I look forward to hearing more details. Thank you for your blog. My daughter is an attorney and is preparing to interview for a JAG position with the Air Force. Reading through your two years of experiences has helped me a lot to understand the process and the potential. One question - do single JAGs live on base or in the community? If on base, what kind of accommodations are available for single officers?
ReplyDeleteWhere in Europe??? We got to Nebraska on Sunday. Thanks for all your posts!
ReplyDeleteCarrie, single JAG's can live off base and most do. Mainly because the money they receive for housing (housing allowance) will be greater than the cost of rent for a 1 bedroom apartment or wherever they choose to live (if not a big house).
ReplyDeleteAmy, we are headed to Germany!!
I'm so jealous! But also excited for you!! My Husband just got selected in the October board so we are in prep for starting his career. Very exciting!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the move to Europe! Thanks for your blog, it's been very helpful as my husband leaves for COT next week. They have a dining out at the end of the course. Any suggestions on dress for the event?
Thanks and keep writing!
Lauren J, do you have your base choices yet??
