Once we interview how long til we find out??

There is a board that meets once every 2 months or so. Depending on when you interview during those 2 months will determine how long you have to wait to find out if you've been accepted into the JAG (contingent on you passing a bar exam). Unfortunately we don't know any more specifics on when the board meets. So say you interview a week after the board met you won't find out until 2 months later. But say you interview and the board meets the following week, well then you're a lucky one and could find out within a matter of weeks.

  1. If you go to www.airforceots.com, you can register to participate in a message board and find out some more info on boards. There's some good insight there on when board results are posted, etc.

  2. JAG Wife ~ Thank you so much for creating this blog! I interviewed with a SJA last week and will have my JAG application packet reviewed during the October Board. I have searched the internet high and low for information, and your blog answers all of my questions that other were unable to answer! Many of my relatives are enlisted in the Navy or Marines so they could not provide very much insight. And the time I spent on the base last week during my interview was a whirlwind. It was so exciting, and I truly enjoyed myself.

I am 29, female, practiced Big Law for 3 years, and I am finally confident enough to embark on this journey. I will keep you posted.

  4. Once you find out that you got in, when do you find out where your first assignment will be?

  5. Once you find out you got in, they'll do the medical clearance part first. Once they assign you to a COT class that would be around the time that they give you your 2-3 base choices.

  6. My husband just found out he got in to the Air Force Jag. We are pretty excited! Will he have to find out if he passes the Bar Exam before they start the medical clearance?
